(18.7 x 15.2 cm) Windsor, Royal Library 12422 This sheet, whose drawings have been related to Leonardo's studies for his painting Leda and the Swan (now lost), apparently was once bound into one of the artist's notebooks, judging by the stitching holes and crease to the left of center. He most likely compiled such botanical studies with the idea of producing a book on plants.
